Peralta Deal Completed - Ipswich Town News

Town have completed the loan signing of Argentinian midfielder Sixto Peralta, nicknamed Mumo. He goes into the squad for Saturday.

David Sheepshanks said of the new signing: "I am delighted to welcome Mumo to Portman Road and we hope he has a very successful time with us. Following this initial season there is a possibility of extending the arrangement when his loan contact expires in June 2002."

Town manager George Burley has been impressed with Peralta's versatility: "Mumo is a very talented young player who can play in any position along the midfield. He will give the squad strength and depth and he has undoubted quality to push for a regular place in the side."

Town have another 1000 tickets available for the Charlton game on Saturday. The Londoners have failed to sell their allocation while other areas of the ground are now available as work continues to be completed.

Tickets are on a one ticket only basis to members personally visiting the ticket office or calling the club's ticket booking line: 0845 6050129. There will be no telephone sales from the ticket office itself.

They go on sale tomorrow from 9am. Tickets are available throughout the ground and cost £19.50 for adults, £13.50 for concessions and £5.50 for children.

Greene King look set to become the sponsors of the South Stand. There has long been speculation that the shirt sponsors would sponsor the stand and the absence of Greene King advertising at Portman Road added to this.

The club's director of communications, Alesha Gooderham said: "We are talking to Greene King about maintaining our relationship. The sponsorship of the South Stand is something we are talking about."
