Keane at Coventry - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Roy Keane took in next opponents Coventry’s 2-0 defeat to QPR at the Ricoh Arena this lunchtime with the Blues not in action after yesterday’s postponement of the game at Doncaster.
The Sky Blues fell to their third successive defeat as an own goal from keeper Keiren Westwood and a second from Tommy Smith won the day for Neil Warnock’s Championship leaders.
Coventry winger Gary McSheffrey picked up his fifth yellow card and will miss the game against the Blues. Icelandic midfielder Aron Gunnarsson is also unavailable as he is serving the third game of a three-match suspension.
Town have dropped to 18th in the table after today’s games, four points off the relegation zone having played a game more than Scunthorpe in 22nd and one fewer than Bristol City, Sheffield United and Middlesbrough in between.
