U18s Lose at Norwich - Ipswich Town News
Town's U18s lost 2-1 to local rivals Norwich City in a hastily-arranged friendly at their Colney Training Centre on Saturday morning.
The game was arranged as Town's U18 league fixture against Portsmouth was called off because of Pompey's involvement in the FA Youth Cup and Norwich's league game against Fulham was also postponed as the Cottagers are at an U17 indoor tournament in southern Germany.
The Canaries were already two goals up when schoolboy Tommy Winter netted Town's goal with about ten minutes remaining after replacing the injured Jack Marriott.
U18: O'Donnell, Bennett, Whight, Jones, Meekings, Maduako, Burke, Scotcher, Marriott, Carson and Tiofack. Subs: Winter, Acott and Lawrence.
