Jewell Plans to Move to Suffolk - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Paul Jewell has confirmed that he plans to move to Suffolk, having taken over at Portman Road on Thursday.
Jewell said: "I’m planning to relocate to the area. Ilkley is near here, isn’t it? It’s a long way to commute to here from Yorkshire. I’ve got a grown-up family and I’ll be looking to get somewhere within 30 miles, like the players are asked to do.
"When I went to Derby I bought a place there. You have to throw your heart and soul into it, it’s no good trying to dash back home all the time.
"Having said that I’m going back home this weekend but that’s only because it was my wife’s birthday on Thursday, and I forgot! It’s not as if I’m going to be going up and down the road, we’re going to be based here.”
The new boss admits that he isn't quite au fait with the geography of this part of the world yet, having made what he thought was a short trip to take in a game on Tuesday evening: "I thought Peterborough was just down the road!”
