Norris Could Talk to Other Clubs - Ipswich Town News
Skipper David Norris has admitted that he may start talking to other clubs if his Town future isn’t resolved soon. The 29-year-old, who is one of 21 players who are out of contract at the end of the season, has been offered a new two-year contract but negotiations are yet to be concluded.
Norris said: "I could be out of work in five months’ time so I have to look after myself. I can talk to other clubs if I want and that is a situation that I have to look at.
"Nobody is naïve enough to think that other clubs are not aware of a player's situation and my agent has been taking a few enquiries.
"Not only have I got the contract situation, but with a new manager coming in there is a double uncertainty."
The Town captain says that ideally he’d like to stay at Portman Road: "I’m not looking to move on and hopefully I can get something sorted here, but we’ll have to see what develops.”
