Hutchings Impressed With Squad - Ipswich Town News
New assistant manager Chris Hutchings says he has been impressed with the Town squad during his first two days working with them at Playford Road. Paul Jewell’s former Bradford, Wigan and Derby assistant was confirmed as his number two at Town yesterday.
Hutchings, who was sacked as manager of Walsall earlier this month, told the club site: "There are some good players here, we just need to get the best out of them.
"I've only had a couple of days here, but the players have bought into what we want to do and how we want to play.
"It's a fresh start for the players and it's going to take time to turn things around. It's a big challenge but I'm looking forward to it.
"This is a big football club with a great history and when you look around the place, it has the potential to go a long way."
