Striker Connor Wickham has been nominated in the Championship Apprentice of the Year category at this year’s Football League Awards. Despite recently signing a new professional contract until 2013, Wickham is still a second-year academy scholar.
Town are not nominated in any other category at the awards, the winners of which will be announced at a gala ceremony at The Brewery in London on Sunday 20th March.
The England U21 international striker faces competition from Adam Thompson of Watford and Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace.
