Bid Rejected - Ipswich Town News

Town have had a bid for a player rejected and there is speculation that the offer may have been for Orient's Matt Lockwood. Winger Lockwood has been rumoured to be a Town target for a few weeks now. Town have also denied any interest in Andreas Jakobsson the Swedish defender we were after in the summer. Jakobsson turned Town down then, but has been reported in the Swedish press as having had a change of mind. Elsewhere Town are being linked with taking Matt Le Tissier on loan, although this does sound highly unlikely. George Burley admits that any addition to his squad will almost certainly now be after Sunday's derby game.

A correction to the Gary Croft report earlier. He has been ordered to appear at crown court on December 10th along with a friend Damien Taylor who is charged with perverting the course of justice. Croft himself is charge with the same offence along with three counts of driving whilst disqualified and three counts of driving without insurance.
