Town Appoint New Ticket Office Manager - Ipswich Town News

Delia Smith will be none too happy that Ipswich Town have been successful in "head-hunting" Norwich City's own Ticket Office Manager, John Ford.

The move which saw the chef saying that she was "sick and tired of hearing how wonderful Ipswich are" agreed that Town were "brilliant on the pitch - no-one can deny that, but behind the scenes they are in a mess. They have had to head-hunt our ticket manager".

John Ford joins town as Ticket Office and Call Centre Manager and one of his first tasks will be the transfer of Town fans wanting to move back to the North Stand once the lower tier is complete.

He says of the position: "I'm very pleased to be here and am looking forward to the challenges faced by this rapidly changing business. I share Ipswich Town's desire to deal with each supporter on a personal basis and to ultimately satisfy each of our 30,000 customers."

Bill Leggate has had to retire from the post due to ill health, and all at TWTD wish him well. The position of Ticket Office Manager has been a difficult job over the past few years with demand far exceeding supply.
