Former Blue Clarke Dies - Ipswich Town News
Town have announced the death of former player George Clarke at the age of 89. Clarke played for the Blues between 1946/47 and 1953/54, making 37 starts and scoring one goal.
A centre-half, Clarke made more than 200 appearances for Town’s reserves and, having played for Manganese Bronze after finishing his professional career, lived in the Chantry area of town for many years.
