Skipper Norris Could Be Back for Portsmouth Clash - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Paul Jewell says skipper David Norris is in with a chance of returning to action when the Blues take on Portsmouth at Portman Road on Saturday. The midfielder, targeted by Pompey in January, has missed the last three matches with the ankle injury he suffered at Barnsley.
Jewell said: "He trained with the physio this morning, did some running. I don’t want to rush Chuck back because we’ve got a lot of games left between now and the end of the season and we haven’t got the biggest squad in the world.
"He’s got a chance, it’s a slight chance and I don’t like ruling players out on a Thursday unless they’ve got absolutely no chance, we’ll see how he is tomorrow.”
The Blues boss says Colin Healy will definitely miss Saturday’s game: "Colin’s out, he’s torn a muscle in his stomach and he’s not going to be considered for the weekend.”
