Lavery Returns But U18s Lose - Ipswich Town News

Striker Caolan Lavery made his return to action for the U18s but Russell Osman’s men fell to a 3-0 defeat at Chelsea at their Cobham training ground this morning. Northern Ireland U21 international Lavery has been out of action since suffering a knee ligament injury during the FA Youth Cup defeat to Peterborough in November.

The Canadian-born frontman came on as a sub for the final nine minutes. First half goals from Billy Clifford, Nathaniel Chalobah and Anton Rodgers saw the Premier League side to their victory.

U18s: Cropper, Bennett, Whight, Jones, Maduako, Meekings, McKeown, Winter, Burke, Carson, Tiofack. Subs: Lavery, Acott, Lawrence, Simmons, Marriott.
