WBA to Bag Croft Kids go Free at Reserves Tonight - Ipswich Town News

Out of favour Gary Croft may well be subject of a bid from West Bromwich Albion. The West Midlands club are said to have made enquiries about his availability, and should a bid come in George Burley is unlikely to stand in the way of the former Blackburn player.

However he may wish to fight for his place as Town only have two recognised right backs. He had previously requested a loan move to sharpen his fitness, a move that still may come about. "That would be a good starting point and I've had a word with the manager about going on loan for a month if that was possible. I think it might be a good way to really get myself right for what I hope will be a first team career again."

Sheffield United are also keeping track on the defender who should be lining in the reserves tonight for the first time this season.

The squad: Keith Branagan, Mike Salmon, Gary Croft, Justin Miller, Wayne Brown, Mark Venus, Lee Beevers, Tommy Miller, Ashley Nicholls, Sixto Peralta, Darren Bent, Alun Armstrong, Steve Burton, Ian Westlake, Erdum Artun and Darren Ambrose.

The game kicks of at 7pm, and will be free to supporters under 15 and as usual to season ticket holders. The Cobbold Stand will be open for tonights match. As Phil is on holiday this week, message board regular Old Git will be writing the report tonight.
