McLoughlin Makes Senior Debut With Stockport - Ipswich Town News
On-loan Town keeper Ian McLoughlin made his senior debut last night as his Stockport side fell to a 2-1 defeat at Cheltenham. The 19-year-old joined the Hatters on Friday but was unable to play on Saturday because the paperwork was yet to go through.
The Republic of Ireland U21 international, who is out of contract with the Blues at the end of the season, is with the League Two strugglers for a month.
McLoughlin was on the bench for the Blues first team on a number of occasions last season and spent time on loan at Lowestoft Town earlier in this campaign.
Boss Paul Jewell is keen for his first and second-year professionals to out on loan to gain experience in the final months of this season with most of them out of contract in the summer.
