Murray Returning to Town - Ipswich Town News

Town have recalled striker Ronan Murray from his loan spell at Torquay United. Murray has been with the Gulls since March 9th, scoring one goal in four starts and three sub appearances.

The Blues insisted on a 24-hour recall clause in the loan deal, available after the first month of the Republic of Ireland U21 international’s spell at Plainmoor.

Town have been short of strikers since loaning the 19-year-old to Torquay and Tamás Priskin to Monday’s opponents Swansea, while Jason Scotland has failed to impress in their absence. The frontman will go straight into the squad for the visit to the Liberty Stadium.

Murray has been offered a new one-year contract by Town with his current terms up this summer.
