Town Again Linked With Nugent - Ipswich Town News

Town are reported to be among the clubs eyeing a summer move for Portsmouth striker David Nugent. The 25-year-old looks certain to leave Fratton Park when his contract is up at the end of June and has also been mentioned in connection with QPR, Blackpool and Bolton.

Nugent, who has scored eight goals in eight games against the Blues and has netted in every match he has played at Portman Road, was a frequent loan target of former Town boss Jim Magilton during his time in charge at Portman Road.

The former Bury and Preston striker, who scored on his only appearance for England against Andorra in 2007, has grabbed 13 goals this season, including the first as Pompey beat the Blues 2-0 at Portman Road in February after which he said he thrives on the booing he receives on his visits to Suffolk.
