Blues boss Paul Jewell says the futures of the club’s out-of-contract senior players is likely to become clearer early next week. The Town manager is due to speak to some of those who have been offered deals today.
Jewell says the likes of Brian Murphy, who could play at Leicester on Saturday, Colin Healy and Arran Lee-Barrett are due to speak to him: "I’m seeing Brian this morning. I’m also meeting Colin Healy today. We’ve made these players offers, the ball is in their court and we’re waiting for them to come back to us.
"I think next week things will be sorted out because we’re in on Monday and Tuesday for a debrief and to give the players their workload for the summer. Things will probably be sorted out more on Monday or Tuesday.”
Skipper David Norris and defender Gareth McAuley look increasingly likely to leave the club at the end of the season.
