TWTD understands that released academy defender Rory McKeown is interesting SPL trio Aberdeen, Kilmarnock and Inverness Caledonian Thistle, who are managed by Town legend Terry Butcher.
The 18-year-old Northern Ireland U19 international centre-half or left-back was recently told he wouldn’t be offered a professional contract at the end of the season.
McKeown and fellow defender Josh Meekings, who looks set to join Stevenage after a trial, are the only second-year scholars who have been released this year.
