Clegg: No Deals Imminent - Ipswich Town News

Chief executive Simon Clegg says Town fans will have to wait a little bit longer for the Blues’ first signings of the summer with no deals set to be completed over the weekend. However, the Town chief says that situation can change very quickly with attempts to land new additions to Paul Jewell's squad ongoing.

Clegg, speaking to TWTD at last night’s launch of the Ipswich Town in Europe exhibition, said: "We’re working behind the scenes, there’s nothing that is imminent at this moment in time, Paul's away at the moment, but that doesn’t mean the situation might not change in 24 or 48 hours.

"But at the moment here’s nothing imminently in the pipeline which will come to fruition within the next 48 hours.”

The chief executive kept to the club’s usual policy of not talking about specific targets: "I do not get involved in discussions about speculation or about individual players until we have something to announce one way or another.”
