Smith Wins New Zealand Award - Ipswich Town News
Town defender Tommy Smith has been named New Zealand’s Young Men’s Player of the Year. The 20-year-old, who spent the end of the season on loan at Colchester, beat Kosta Barbarouses of the Brisbane Roar and West Brom’s Chris Wood to the award.
Smith said: "I feel very proud to play for New Zealand and representing my country in last summer's World Cup was the highlight of my career so far. It means a lot to me to receive this award.”
