Roberts Dismisses Town Link - Ipswich Town News
Blackburn striker Jason Roberts has dismissed reports that he was the player at Portman Road today holding talks regarding a move to Town.
The 33-year-old tweeted: "I have only just seen and read the rumours. I can confirm that I am still in Grenada and I have not spoken to anybody from Ipswich!"
Reports of another potential recruit being at the club to speak with Paul Jewell have been circulating on the TWTD Message Board throughout the afternoon with Roberts's former Wigan team-mate Nathan Ellington, who is a free agent having been released by Watford, also rumoured to have been the player involved.
Roberts, who along with Ellington was a member of Jewell’s 2004/05 promotion-winning Wigan side, was initially linked with the Blues in May when the Town boss refused to comment on the speculation.
