Carling Cup Seedings - Ipswich Town News
The Football League have announced the seeded and unseeded teams for Thursday’s first round Carling Cup draw (10am).
The Blues will hope to get a more local game than in recent years with trips to Shrewsbury and Exeter in the last two seasons in the draw which is regionalised along north/south lines.
Birmingham City will receive a bye to round three as they are involved in the Europa League which means newly-promoted Crawley Town and AFC Wimbledon will play a preliminary match with one of the former Blue Square Bet Premier sides progressing to the first round.
