Keane Selling Suffolk Home - Ipswich Town News

Former Town boss Roy Keane looks to be on his way out of Suffolk having put his house in Woodbridge up for sale for £3.5 million. The Blues sacked the former Manchester United skipper after 20 turbulent months in charge in January.

The Irishman moved into the house, which he bought for £2 million in February 2010, last season having spent a significant sum and several months having it refurbished. While waiting for the work to be completed the ex-midfielder and his family rented a property in Aldeburgh.

Keane putting his house on the market will lead to speculation that he has another management position lined up — with rumours linking him with Watford in the last few days - but speaking to a Cork radio station last month the 39-year-old said he was in no hurry to get a new job: "Not today. I’ve been out for a couple of months and I’m enjoying my bit of time off. Part of my problem is that when I’m involved, I’m involved, there are no half measures.

"I think I have to step back, recharge the batteries, take stock and see what’s around the corner. Who knows? If I’m out of the game for another six months or six years, so be it. It would have to be the right club.”

Keane’s Cheshire home is still unsold despite having been up for sale for some while at £7.5 million - a reduction of £2 million from its initial list price - which might suggest the possibility of a move back to the North-West.
