Town keeper Matteo Sereni has finally been stripped of his red card recieved after Robbie Savage cheated at Leicester. Reports earlier in the week suggested this was the case and now referee Barry Knight has confirmed it.
FA spoakesperson Adrian Bevington said: "The match referee, Barry Knight, has since reviewed the incident and has decided to rescind the
sending-off offence. He now classes it as a cautionable offence. Therefore the player will not
face a suspension this weekend, when any ban would have come into force."
A decision on Lee Marshall's red card in the same game is expected to be made later today.
Sereni will now join the rest of the Town squad that travels to Manchester by plane this afternoon.
Titus Bramble says he isn't that bothered that he scored the equaliser last night, he was more pleased that Town got a draw to take to Moscow. He also admitted to being a bit nervous.
Bramble said: "I was personally very disappointed with the first goal but the lads battled back well for us to get the equaliser. It didn't particularly bother me that I scored it was more about getting that goal for the team and trying to get another to take to Moscow next week. I think we have a very good chance of going there and getting the victory that we need."
Bramble added that he was nervous on what he described as "one of the biggest games of my life."
George Burley was unimpressed that once again his side let in a weak goal he also felt that missing the penalty didn't help. However, he was pleased at the way his side acquitted themselves in the second period: "We threw everything at them in the second half and we had numerous chances as we went looking for that extra goal to take with us to Moscow. Torpedo Moscow are a formidable side and must be favourites for the second leg but we still feel we can go there and win."
Of Bramble the Town boss said: "Titus Bramble is a young player who will learn from this experience. He made a mistake but he held his head up high and then went on to score the equaliser."
George Burley admitted that Martijn Reuser was fit and was impressed with all three of his substitutes when they came on.
Meanwhile Torpedo manager Vitali Shevchenko was unhappy at the goal disallowed by referee Orhan Erdemir. He also felt the penalty decision was poor: "I thought Ipswich played very well but it was not a penalty and the referee was a disgrace. He either wanted to help Ipswich or he cannot referee."
He added a warning for Town: "Perhaps when we are in Moscow we will make Ipswich defend more."
Town have responded to fans unhappy at the official arrangements for the trip to Moscow next week. Over the last few days complaints about the arrangements have appeared on the TWTD Message Board while the East Anglian quoted more fed-up fans this morning.
Supporters are particularly unhappy that the three-day trip has in effect just one day in Moscow with arrival in Russia late on the first day and departure early on the third. Supporter James Holland said of the arrangements: "It is pathetic and you would not accept it from any other travel company."
He is considering getting his money, £525, back.
The club's rather terse response was to say through a spokesman: "Whilst we would have liked to give everyone the maximum amount of time in Moscow, because of the number of people travelling it was neccessary to arrange seats on a number of different scheduled flights."
