FA to Act Against Norwich - Ipswich Town News

The FA sem certain to launch an investigation into the the Norwich scoreboard incident at the weekend. Reports also claim that the scoreboard operator who perpetrated the slur against Town was due to leave his job anyway.

Town have received apologies from Norwich, but reports this afternoon claim that Ipswich have become increasingly annoyed at comments made by Delia Smith. The TV cook recently took a pop at Town, something which has not been appreciated at Portman Road.

Marcus Stewart says he feels insulted by Manchester United's decision to rest a large number of players.

The Town striker said: "The fact they left out so many players really got up my nose. We should have gone out there and showed them what we are really made of but sadly we couldn't do it."

Stewart felt that Town didn't do themselves justice: "We showed them far too much respect and I think that it was an insult to our club that they put out a team like that, resting so many players."

Town have announced the squad for the second leg of the UEFA Cup tie with Torpedo Moscow. The players will depart Stansted for Moscow tomorrow at 9am with a training session on Wednesday morning.

Squad: Sereni, Branagan, Marshall, Makin, Wilnis, Hreidarsson, Clapham, Bramble McGreal, Venus, Gaardsøe, Holland, Magilton, Wright, George, Reuser, Stewart, Armstrong, Couñago, T Miller and Bent.
