McLoughlin on Trial With MK Dons - Ipswich Town News
Released Town keeper Ian McLoughlin is on trial with the MK Dons. The Irish U21 international was told his Blues contract wouldn’t be renewed at the end of the season.
The 19-year-old played the second half of a 4-1 friendly victory at St Neots Town this afternoon, keeping a clean sheet during his 45 minutes on the field.
McLoughlin, who appeared on the first team bench for Town but without getting on to the field, ended 2010/11 on loan at Stockport County where he made his first league appearances, having spent time a similar spell at Ryman League Premier Division Lowestoft Town earlier in the campaign.
Former Blues striker Dean Bowditch joined the MK Dons earlier in the summer after leaving Yeovil.
Elsewhere, former Town loanee Gianni Zuiverloon is close to joining Spanish La Liga side Real Mallorca having left West Brom at the end of the season.
