Places On Kenya Trip Still Available - Ipswich Town News

The ITFC Charitable Trust still has a limited number of places available on this October’s 10-day trip to the Great Rift Valley in Kenya.

The Trust has teamed up with Kenyan Adventure to offer supporters the opportunity to volunteer in the Great Rift Valley in Kenya between Sunday 9th and Thursday 20th October.

There are a range of projects for the 30 participants, from teaching in schools and community work with children to multi-sport and football coaching.

A three-part adventure day is also included in the trip, which will see volunteers embark on a game drive in the Lake Nakuru national safari park and stop off at the equator before rounding the day off at Thomson Falls, one east Africa’s deepest waterfalls.

Those wishing to take part are asked to raise £1,995 with £650 directly donated to the ITFC Charitable Trust (£812.50 donation including a GiftAid claim). The remainder covers the cost of the trip. Two Town season tickets will be available to the person who raises the most money over £2500.

A number of travellers are already signed up, including former Blues midfielder Simon Milton, who these days works in the club’s commercial department.

The trip aims to raise £25,000 for the ITFC Charitable Trust, which will go directly to new and existing sports and educational projects in the local area.
