Town to Hold Open Training Session - Ipswich Town News

Town have announced that they will hold an open day at Portman Road on Thursday 28th July when fans will get the chance to watch the first team squad train. The Blues promised to hold a number of open training sessions after former manager Roy Keane’s policy of welcoming fans to Playford Road on a daily basis was scrapped earlier in the year.

Entry to the event, which will be held on the main pitch from 9.45am until 12.30pm, will be free with the lower tier of the Britannia Stand open via the Constantine Road entrance.

In addition to Town training, there will be a demonstration of freestyle football, plus other activities and refreshments.

Members of the Junior Blues will have a special viewing area and the opportunity to collect the players’ autographs as they leave the field, in addition to other exclusive activities.

Former boss Jim Magilton previously held an open training session at Portman Road in 2008.
