Rodgers Dismisses Scotland Link - Ipswich Town News
Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers has dismissed reports linking the Swans with a move for their former striker Jason Scotland. Yesterday, the Welsh media claimed Town and the newly-promoted Premier League side were in talks regarding a proposed deal.
However, Rodgers says that although he is on the look-out for another frontman, the Trinidad and Tobago international isn’t in his thoughts: "Jason Scotland hasn't come into my thinking."
Town boss Paul Jewell is understood to have been impressed with Scotland during pre-season so far and may not now be in any rush to off-load the 32-year-old, who scored 10 goals during 2010/11.
