Former Town midfielder Kieron Dyer has won a battle for £50,000 with Town. At a hearing yesterday Kieron was awared the money after the Football League were brought in to settle the dispute surrounding Kieron's signing on fee, an amount of which the club had failed to pay. Town stated on several occasions throughout the summer that Dyer asked for a transfer, something that seems now was not the case. Had Dyer put in a transfer request and not merely asked to be informed of any interest from Premiership clubs (as Dyer and his agent claim) he would no longer have been entitled to the £50,000. Town have 14 days to appeal.
Richard Naylor will be available for tonight's game with Wolves after all. It seems the club got the dates wrong and his suspension actually starts on Thursday.
The Southampton match is now confirmed as a Sky game on December 13th (8pm).
Town have been linked with Motherwell's Scottish Under-21 international Lee McCulloch. Apparently a whole host of clubs - Premiership, First Division and top Scottish - are also linked with the £1 million player.
South African central defender Justin Miller who has been on trial with Town for a few weeks now is set to join permanently.
