Crawley Could Sign O\'Connor - Ipswich Town News
Crawley Town assistant manager Paul Raynor says he and boss Steve Evans will assess whether to sign trialist Shane O’Connor over the next few days. As TWTD revealed on Thursday, the 21-year-old left midfielder or full-back has been with Crawley this week and played in a 0-0 friendly draw with Crystal Palace last night, the second game of his spell.
Raynor said: "Shane has come in and done reasonably well. We will sit down, watch the DVD of the game and assess the situation over the next few days.
"He has played games in the Championship and had a good grounding at Liverpool, so he has a decent pedigree. He is lacking a bit of fitness but he wants to be here so we’ll have to wait and see.”
O’Connor has another year left on his Town contract and the Blues may want a small fee for his services.
