Trio in International Action - Ipswich Town News

Academy trio Caolan Lavery, Cormac Burke and Cody Cropper are set for international action at the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland later today. The triumvirate are with their national sides playing in the U19 Elite section of the tournament, while a Town U15 squad is in the Junior competition.

Striker Lavery and midfielder Burke are likely to be in the Northern Ireland team facing Denmark in Coleraine. On Wednesday, the Northern Irish youngsters face Georgia, with the play-off matches and final on Friday.

Blues midfielder Josh Carson was withdrawn from the squad, along with ex-Town scholar Rory McKeown, who scored on his senior debut for Kilmarnock yesterday.

Academy keeper Cody Cropper and the US take on Israel in Ballymoney today and Mexico on Wednesday before Friday’s positional play-offs, which may see Cropper face his Northern Irish Town team-mates.

Town’s U15s face US side the South Coast Strikers in Portrush today, County Antrim on Tuesday and Queen of the South on Wednesday.
