Leddy Nets in U18s Draw - Ipswich Town News
Republic of Ireland U16 international midfielder Jon Leddy scored for the Town U18s as they drew 1-1 in a friendly with Luton at Playford Road this afternoon.
The Blues fielded a very young and inexperienced side including two trialists with the second-year scholars in the reserves squad for the friendly at Needham Market tonight and a number of other regulars away at the Milk Cup in Ireland.
Town took the lead after 11 minutes when Leddy's freekick rebounded off the crossbar and struck the unfortunate Luton keeper Josh Carpenter before rolling across the line.
In a fairly uneventful game, the visitors grabbed a deserved equaliser late on.
