Town Linked With Dundee United Youngster - Ipswich Town News
Town have been linked with a move for Dundee United midfielder Scott Allan. Scottish reports claim the Blues are set to make an offer for the 19-year-old by the end of the week having been amongst a host of clubs who watched the highly-rated youngster in action during Saturday’s home draw with St Mirren.
Glasgow-born Allan came through the ranks at Tannadice having joined the club at the age of 10. The 5ft 9in tall playmaker signed his first professional contract with the Terrors in 2008 and spent time on loan at Forfar early in 2010/11.
This season he has made his first team breakthrough with Dundee United, his debut coming as a sub in the Europa League match against Slask Wroclaw with two more league appearances having followed.
Allan, who has received glowing reviews in his first few senior games, has only a year remaining on his contract with plenty of English clubs believed to be interested in the former Scotland U17 international.
