Jewell Confirms Priskin Leeds Loan Move Broke Down - Ipswich Town News
Blues boss Paul Jewell has confirmed that striker Tamás Priskin was close to joining Leeds United on loan before the West Yorkshire club pulled out of the move.
Jewell, who dismissed the link when it first appeared last week says the switch would have benefited the 25-year-old Hungarian: "Tamás was lined up to go to Leeds and at the 11th hour they changed their mind.
"It's disappointing for Tamás and disappointing for us, it would have given him games and put him in the shop window."
Jewell says a number of his fringe players will be allowed to move on if there is interest, with left-sided full-back or midfielder Shane O’Connor recently turning down a six-month loan at Crawley Town.
