Griffiths to Join Plymouth on Loan - Ipswich Town News

Midfielder Jamie Griffiths is joining League Two Plymouth Argyle on a month's loan. The 19-year-old has made one senior appearance for the Blues, as a late sub in the Carling Cup tie at home to Northampton last season.

Griffiths says he's glad to be making the move: "I'm looking forward to going to Plymouth. It's a chance to play some first team football and that's what I need."

The Bury-born player came through the youth system at Portman Road, turning professional in the summer of 2010.

The winger missed Paul Jewell’s opening months as manager of the Blues due to a stress fracture to his back but was offered a six-month contract.

Griffiths will be reunited with former team-mate Conor Hourihane at Home Park, the Irishman having joined the Pilgrims on a permanent basis during pre-season.
