Town Targets Among Late Movers - Ipswich Town News

A number of players mentioned in connection with the Blues were amongst the late movers on the final day of the transfer window. Dutch defender Jos Hooiveld has joined Southampton and Spanish centre-half Pablo Ibáñez has signed for Birmingham.

Hooiveld has moved to the Saints from Celtic on loan until January, while Ibáñez has put pen to paper on a two-year deal after leaving West Brom for an undisclosed fee.

Meanwhile, in Spain, Real Zaragoza central defender Víctor Laguardia, watched by the Blues during the La Liga club's recent British tour, has joined Segunda División side Las Palmas on a season-long loan with Spanish reports claiming he had the option of joining Town.

Elsewhere, former Blue Shefki Kuqi, 34, has joined Oldham Athletic for the season, having left Newcastle at the end of the last campaign.
