Collins Left Out of Stoke Squad - Ipswich Town News
Town loan target Danny Collins has been left out of Stoke’s 25-man Premier League squad for the season ahead. The 31-year-old Wales international central defender looks set to join the Blues on loan when Football League clubs are able to take players on loans of up to 93 days from Thursday.
Stoke’s official website says Collins, midfielder Danny Pugh and others have been left out so they can play football elsewhere: "[Manager Tony] Pulis's decision to omit a number of fringe players from his 25-man squad, including Danny Pugh and Danny Collins, reflects his desire to allow them to gain the regular first team football elsewhere by going out on loan.”
