U18s Draw at Reading - Ipswich Town News
Town's U18s secured a point with a 2-2 draw at Reading on Saturday morning with the goals coming from Carel Tiofack (pictured) and Jidé Maduako.
The home side took the lead midway through the first half but Town replied ten minutes before half-time. Caolan Lavery beat a defender on the left before crossing for Jon Leddy, whose effort was blocked but Carel Tiofack was on hand to slot the ball home.
Reading again took the lead in the second half but centre-half Jidé Maduako earned Town a point with a towering header from a corner late on.
Town's U16s suffered a 6-1 defeat at Reading with Kyle Hammond, who has been involved with the U18s in pre-season, netting.
U18s: O'Donnell, Jones, October, Leddy, Maduako, Scotcher, Lawrence (Marriott 75), Thorsteinsson, Lavery (Simmons 75), Tiofack (Timlin 70), Winter. Unused: Meikle, Schrøder.
