Sonko Impressed With New Defensive Partner - Ipswich Town News
Central defender Ibrahima Sonko was impressed with his new partner Danny Collins’s performance at Blackpool, despite the Blues’ 2-0 defeat. Collins, who played alongside Sonko with the Potters, joined Town the previous day on a 93-day loan and hadn’t even trained with the squad prior to the match.
Sonko said: "Danny did extremely well, so well in fact it looked as if he had been with the team since the summer!
"He was strong, he makes plenty of challenges and he talks a lot to the players. He knows a lot of the players anyway, so he's settled in really well.
"He came in and got on with the rest of the lads straight away and I'm sure his performances will get better and better."
