Striker Nathan Ellington hit a hat-trick, Ronan Murray a brace and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Caolan Lavery and Colin Healy one each as Town’s reserves came from behind to romp to an 8-1 victory over Gillingham at Playford Road this afternoon.
Defender Ãvar Ingimarsson came through the whole 90 minutes after his thigh strain and is likely to come into contention for a place in the first team which takes on Coventry in a live Sky game at Portman Road on Monday.
Today’s match was played behind closed doors but where both clubs agree games will be open to the general public with details announced a couple of days beforehand.
