Manchester City Defender Linked - Ipswich Town News
Town are amongst a number of Championship clubs being linked with a loan move for Manchester City central defender or full-back Reece Wabara. Reading, Millwall and Blackpool are all also claimed to be interested.
The 19-year-old England U20 international joined City from Walsall as a youngster and recently signed a new three-year professional deal.
City are said to be willing to allow the Birmingham-born player to move on a short-term spell with his first team experience so far limited to one sub appearance on the final day of last season.
Blues boss Paul Jewell recently admitted speaking to Manchester City coach David Platt about potential loanees, but a player who is primarily a central defender seems an unlikely target given the recent signings of Ibrahima Sonko and Danny Collins.
