Chopra: I Should Have Scored More - Ipswich Town News

Today's two-goal hero Michael Chopra says he should have scored more than four times this season with opposition goalkeepers having pulled off a number of superb saves in recent games. Middlesbrough’s Carl Ikeme, West Ham’s Robert Green and Brighton’s Casper Ankergren have all made memorable stops from the Blues frontman over the last week.

Chopra said: "I feel good and I think if I keep playing the way I am doing then I will add to my strikes and reach the targets that I set myself.

"I've got four goals now this season, but I think I should be on about seven but for some great saves by the keepers in recent weeks.

"But if I keep getting in the right positions then I'm sure the chances will come and then it's up to me to put them away.

"I've got a lot of belief in my abilities and I'm confident that if I'm presented with the chances then I will score my fair share."

Meanwhile, new loan signing Reece Wabara has tweeted that he was pleased with his Town debut and the Blues' victory over Brighton: "Great result for the lads, delighted with my debut. Good team spirit by the boys to turn it around.”
