Follow Charitable Trust\'s Kenya Trip on Twitter - Ipswich Town News
Sunday sees 21 members of Town’s staff and fans travel to the Great Rift Valley in Kenya for 10 days where they will be volunteering on behalf of the ITFC Charitable Trust helping underprivileged communities.
They will take part in a range of projects, from teaching in schools and community work with children to multi-sport and football coaching.
A three-part adventure day is also included in the trip, which will see the volunteers embark on a game drive in the Lake Nakuru national safari park and stop off at the equator before rounding the day off at Thomson Falls, one east Africa’s deepest waterfalls.
Amongst those volunteering is Town press officer Jade Cole, who will be tweeting updates throughout the trip here.
Those taking part had to raise £2,000 with any cash raised on top of that also going to the Charitable Trust. If you wish to donate, Jade’s Just Giving page is here, while former Blues midfielder Simon Milton, now Town’s academy sponsorship manager and player liaison officer, is also amongst the 21 and his page is here.
