Andrews Wins Cap in Irish Victory - Ipswich Town News

Loan midfielder Keith Andrews played the full 90 minutes and picked up his 23rd cap as the Republic of Ireland won their penultimate Euro 2012 qualifier 2-0 in Andorra. Kevin Doyle and Aiden McGeady netted the goals in the first half.

Blues defender Damien Delaney was left out of the Irish 18. Ireland face Armenia in Dublin in their final game on Tuesday with a draw enough to take Giovanni Trapattoni’s men into the play-offs.

On-loan keeper David Stockdale was left out of the England 18 as Fabio Capello’s men drew 2-2 in Montenegro, former Blue Darren Bent netting the second goal, Ashley Young having scored the first and with Wayne Rooney receiving a second half red card.
