Town Posh Link Refuted - Ipswich Town News

Peterborough manager Barry Fry has refuted a report linking Town with his top scorer Jimmy Bullard. George Burley's scouts are said to have watched him twice now this season, after earlier facing Posh in a pre-season friendly.

An angry Fry lambasted: "It's been brought to my attention that someone has inside information about me receiving bids for several of my players and I can absolutely say this is a load of rubbish. This has all been dreamt up and the people who fabricate such statements must have nothing else better to do."

Fry says he is in regular contact with Town, but hasn't had Bullard brought up: "I talk to George Burley and David Sheepshanks on a regular basis and neither of them have ever approached me about Jimmy Bullard."

Fry then looked for the sources of the stories: "Why don't our so-called supporters talk about the six our of eight wins which have taken us to the top of the form table, instead of trying to upset the camp again and again and again?"

Why not indeed.
