Leddy in Ireland Action - Ipswich Town News
Academy first-year scholar Jonny Leddy is in action with the Republic of Ireland U17s in their final European Championship qualification mini-group game against the Czech Republic in Kazakhstan this morning.
The midfielder, who netted a penalty in his team’s 8-0 victory over Liechtenstein in their opening match last Wednesday, will win his fifth U17 cap.
Leddy and his team-mates look set to go through to the next stage of qualifying even if they lose to the Czechs unless Kazakhstan, with whom the Irish drew 1-1 on Friday, turn around a goal difference of 10 in their game against Liechtenstein.
