Fans Welcome at Arsenal Friendly - Ipswich Town News
Next Tuesday’s reserves friendly against Arsenal at Town’s Playford Road training ground will be open to the public (KO midday). The Blues withdrew from the Football Combination at the end of last season and are playing only friendlies this year, most of them behind closed doors.
Coach Sean McCarthy, who is in charge of the reserves this season, says the match will give the fringe players a chance to impress: "It's important that we arrange these type of games.
"We need to give the lads who are not playing at the end of the week a chance to get some match football under their belts and it also gives them a chance to remind the coaches, and most importantly the manager, what they can do."
Town are hosting a West Ham second string on Tuesday 22nd November, also at Playford Road with supporters again welcome (KO 1pm).
