Strong Reserves Side to Face Arsenal - Ipswich Town News
Town are set to field a strong reserves side for this afternoon’s reserves friendly against Arsenal at Playford Road (KO noon). Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Josh Carson, Daryl Murphy, Tommy Smith, Lee Martin, Colin Healy and Tamás Priskin are all expected to face what’s likely to be a young Gunners line-up.
Manager Paul Jewell said: "It's a strong squad and we've got a lot of players involved that should be keen to impress.
"The game gives some of the players the chance to impress and they should want to stake a claim, irrespective of whether the team is winning or not. We're also playing against Arsenal, so it should be a decent game of football."
Fans are welcome to attend the match.
