U18s Win at Portsmouth - Ipswich Town News
Central defender Jide Maduako and striker Jack Marriott were on the scoresheet as Town’s U18s beat Portsmouth 2-1 at the Wellington Sports Ground in Eastleigh on Saturday morning.
Jack Maloney put the home side in front at half-time, following up after Cody Cropper had saved.
In the second half, Maduako levelled with a header and Marriott, scoring for the fifth successive match, seized on a poor back pass to claim all three points.
U18s: Cropper, Jones, Maduako, Schrøder, October, Meikle, Thorsteinnssen (Timlin 60), Bennett (Lawrence 60), Leddy, Simmons (Scotcher 74), Marriott. Unused: O’Donnell, Winter.
